Philosophy
Top
A feature of the
practice is the close working association we maintain with other
professionals who bring specialist, complimentary skills to our own. We
aim to offer a single source of engineering if clients so wish.
This philosophy, of
working closely with other professionals, we would like to think is
extended to include our clients.
The provision of these
varied disciplines has resulted in the successful completion of wide
variety of projects for many satisfied clients.
New and refurbishment
projects undertaken have included, distilleries, food production
factories, care premises, hospitals, office, hotel and leisure
facilities, prisons, educational establishments, housing both social and
private, to name but a few. Many historic building are included in our
project list.
These commissions have
been undertaken directly for the client, as part of a design team or as
part of a contractors / builders team.
We not only carry out
design work but will provide advice in the form of both energy survey’s and audits, condition survey’s and estimation
of running costs.
To assist in these
surveys, test and commissioning of systems and thermal performance of
buildings we are members of BSRIA and can hire equipment not already held
by ourselves.
Computer simulation
can be employed to demonstrate fabric improvements and thermal
performance of the building to reduce the need for HVAC services. This
can be used as part of sustainable design and reduce energy usage and
make renewable energy a viable option.
